For at least six months, the network, in terms of perceived asset value has reminded me of Citicorp in 1990, Merck in 1993, Chrysler in the late 80's, and (you may here add any valuable asset at the bottom of its perceived range of valuation as dictated by market sentiment). The network is perceived as an albatross. It is not so.

Without ignoring deteriorating industry fundamentals for networks, it remains a very valuable platform for distribution of content (can you say "syndication?" <S>) and a valuable brand. This is a legitimate opportunity to "buy low." If the worst thing you can say about CBS Corp. is the network (and it is), then I'll take CBS Corp. to the bank. No one will be getting my shares at the current price. I may be getting theirs.

Gigahertz, Have you any more to sell?

Bob Simon, Charlie Rose! say no more it will fly.

And to think those other things -INF, AOL, SPLN & MKWT - will not have to help it but will now put the icing on top!
