So are you implying there is some other magic pill to cure the bandwidth clog on carriers networks? There is none that give the bang for the buck that DWDM does. Telco's are very tedious and careful what they put on networks just as you say but the fact is 1999 is the year DWDM will be deployed becuase it is the only option and it has matured to the point it is reliable enough to put on a carriers backbone. Look at any network/telephony magazine. If all you hear about is how telco's are going to deploy DWDM in 1999, how can you say the sell cylce is lengthy? Maybe 1 year ago you could say that, but everyone KNOWS DWDM is being deployed in large numbers in 1999 and if you look at your calander I beleive it is 1999.
