British pound was taken and shot in the head.. The pound lost 30% in matter of two weeks, it was shorted big time.. Honk Kong stock market in Sept of 98 was running huge short positions, nearly 90,000 short contracts were outstanding the HK Monetary authority took on these shorts and were able to take the market higher..Thanks
