right on target Winnie. this whole thing seems to boil down to lack of fundamental understanding of new industry: technology, some analogies: 1. you are pres of a leading internet provider before the DOJ case against msft. one of your officers suggests the company begins to design an operating system that could be accessed for free off the internet--the sysstem would be superior to windows. do you think the pres would have said, "no, that would make us a monopoly'? 2. a company (manufacturer) that sells things over net announces they are forming their own mail delivery service. FDX files a monopoly suit. Do you think it holds a prayer? 3. it is 1930 & ford is selling a ton of cars, A tire manufacturer for a competing company argues (in court) that ford should not be able to sell cars with tires.
