Lance b, get over yourself....

Hey, I tip my hat to anyone who makes a living as a daytrader. If I thought I could make a living daytrading, I would.

But to suggest that daytraders move the market is just absolutely ABSURD. Institutional investors (mutuals, pension funds, investment banks, etc) control well over 50% of US market capitalization. Daytraders will cause wild intra-day price fluctuation of a certain stock (P&D, news release, CNBC trading, whatever), but in the long run, the stock's price will reflect its fundamentals.

I totally agree . . .

I think there is a BIG difference between REAL Daytraders and Retail Investors that are trying to learn by doing . . . Daytraders making money are all over . . I use a balance of buying equities and options and use very aggressive strategies to maximize profits in hours . .The first week I've done bull spreads on AMZN and YHOO then the past week I've changed the strategy to put the options on a straddle because of their volatility and I MADE MONEY ! ! Sure I'm not perfect, I lose some plays but I know where to cut my losses . . .and I think that is the BIGGEST difference between traders that DO make money and traders that HOLD THE BAG . . . I'm just tired of getting FLAK (crackdown by the SEC on daytrading practices) for our god given right to trade during the day and making money at it while others that THINK they are and have been losing money trying to do what we do makes US in the minority look BAD . .I'm SICK of it . . .Especially those stupid Hypsters . . .Now If anyone on this thread has some good opinions then GREAT spread them around . . .IF not KEEP them to YOURSELF . .
