Have you never heard of terraforming and planetary engineering? Did you hear of that in Scientific American, or in a science-fiction novel? If it is ever accomplished, rest assured that it will be through collective effort. Individuals will grab the credit, but the resources behind them will be provided by groups. You asked where NASA would have been without Werner? Maybe a few months behind. He was by no means the only brain over there. Where would Werner have been without NASA and his budget - voted to him by elected representatives of a group? Steve
