The search engine is already here. When I want to buy a book, I now start with one of a few sites to find the best price. This is one that meets all your criteria [except for a tad of advertising at the top of the results page]:

addall.com

Here's another site for best book prices that gives additional vendors although no shipping prices/shipping time on the results page:

bestbookbuys.com

I have a few more of these sites bookmarked and no longer automatically go to the Amazon site. Actually, its been a while since I ordered from Amazon due to these search engines.

Excellent analysis.
