Bill- Thanks for your input. As you can see this thread has gone dead as bank stocks have rallied and the problems of Asia and S. America have passed from the public's consciousness. I hope others more knowledgeable than I will comment or contribute to a discussion of the current state of affairs. Brazil is worrisome and we don't know yet what the new president of Venezuela has in mind for that country when he takes office in February.
