Truff, had an order for 10 1/4 the other day and it just missed on AFCI. I was in it at 27 and no kidding (without any inside) sold 3 days before the big fall at 39 and change---- luckiest I have ever been. I like all 3 by the way. My poor broker lost 2.5 mil market cap amoung 7 or 8 clients on AFCI.-----OOUCH!

Cheers
Dave

Broad View…January 8, 1999

The aggregate Insider attitude has remained unchanged for the past three weeks. Following their aggressive buying in September and October, the current score is firmly in the Neutral range of the Insider Sales to Total Transactions Ratio.

The following companies comprise our list of attractive stocks for 1999. They were selected on the basis of their Insider Model scores as well as improvement on our proprietary Earnings Model.

Amcast Industries (AIZ)
Beckman Coulter (BEC)
Callaway Golf (ELY)
Fairchild Corp (FA)
Iomega, Inc. (IOM)
Lawter International (LAW)
Monsanto Co. (MTC)
Olin Corp. (OLN)
PNC Bank Corp. (PNC)
PETsMART, Inc. (PETM)
Popular Inc. (BPOP)
Puget Sound Energy (PSD)
Investors should regard these selections as a package in order to diversify risk. Some of the risk diversification has already been done for you, in that industry diversification has been a part of our selection process. Companies which appear weak on our Insider Model:

Insider Buying…

First purchases in five years in the shares of Comfort Systems (FIX). First purchases in two years at ITEQ Inc. (ITEQ).

Insider Selling…

Selling-in-size at both OEA Inc. (OEA) and First Security Corp. (FSCO).

Until next week!

Truff, off topic

<I would also put CIEN, AFCI and INFX in that category for anyone bottom fishing.>

I know you meant IFMX not INFX. Guess who sold IFMX, and a bunch of AFCI and AFCI options BEFORE vacation--Dec. 29th? :((

Trufflette,

I have been watching CIEN also (and IFMX).

Have you found good info sources beyond here, Fool, etc. for CIEN?

Thanks,
