Oxford: wonderful! Was a grad student there 1990-96. The best and brightest from all over the world. Everyone excited about what they were researching/teaching. Incredibly beautiful. Was a Junior Dean for one of the medieval colleges (Oriel), which allowed me to dine at High Table with the Fellows. The finest food and wines every night, followed by port, snuff, cigars and chocolates! A bit too old-fashioned at times (the old library still used 18th century catalog books!). But a tremendous experience. Graduation ceremony entirely in Latin. Proctor whacks the newly graduated lawyers on the head with a mace (old Oxonian tradition!).

When were you there?

TC.
