Sean,

At times, technical analysis is analagous to predicting the future with chicken entrails.

All that TA provides is a historical record of what HAS HAPPENED, not what is GOING TO HAPPEN.

I try to combine TA with a good amount of Fundamentals and timing.

Since the Fundamental data for AVBC could only be perceived from news releases and hearsay until we have SEC filings, I waited until the end of the year when I felt there was more of a chance of that stock seeing a bottom.

I hope we have found it. And the appropriate amount of news or the company becoming fully reporting, this stock could move significantly from here. (however we all define significantly... :0)

Regards,

Ron

Sean and others -

My advice - forget TA with a stock like this - for now anyway.

TA is based on assumptions around price, volume, and time. With a stock like AVBC, price and volume jump around based on MM games, totally unpredictable news, and all sorts of dynamics. The assumptions behind TA indicators can't hold up in an environment like that. Therefore, the output and predictions of the TA are unreliable.

TA is useful for stocks like DELL and EMC. DD and intestinal fortitude are what is useful for stocks like AVBC!
