As I said IBD offers a ranking of stocks both relative strength (price) and EPS (growth of earnings), which compares the stock against all stocks in database. A >70 for both ranks puts you in a stock that is moving and making money. That measure is good enough for me. Is it not that I believe funnys count but when the bigger fool wants to buy the stock, I can tell him "earning are good and growing".

It is dependent on what your mindset is. If you are trading for less than 6 weeks, does it make any difference? One man's junk is another man treasure.

I do prefer Float<50m. short supply reacts quicker to demand.
