William, The story makes sense, although in another report MSFT denied that they were selling the business--see one of the earlier posts.
I had not known that AT&T's internet access business had over 1 million users. Thanks for the information.

I am betting that AT&T and MSFT are going to come out winners. I think they will do a deal despite the denial by the MSFT spokesman.
Since TCI is going to be taken over----I bet AOL is more worried about AT&T than they are about MSFT.
