Scumbria,

Onto football analogies.

AMD actually got close to 50% market share in the 486 days.
That's certainly one superbowl apperance at least.
They have been rebuilding recently.
This could finally be the year, with k-3's and k-7's on their way and a SUPERFAB coming on line.

The team we are probably closest to is the Vikings. They have been close and are now ready to kick some Intel butt.

Regards,

Kash

Scumbria - Re: "As a long time Bronco's fan and AMD investor, I can assure you that the frustration level is very similar. And then one fine day last January it all changed..."

I remember that day.

Here was the "press report":

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 13, 1998--AMD today reported a net loss of $12,334,000 on sales of $613,171,000 for its fourth quarter, ended December 28, 1997. The loss amounted to $0.09 per share. Revenues increased by 3 percent over the immediate-prior quarter, and by 23 percent over the like period of 1996.
