Class action lawsuit against ETrade. by: simonhope (28/M/Van Nuys, CA) 13064 of 13122I'm aware of a class action lawsuit against ETrade Group (Cooper vs. ETrade Group, Inc.). I know that a group of online investors has sued ETrade alleging 1)misrepresentation about its ability to handle trading volume and 2)money losses due to online trading system failures. Does anyone have any more info on this case? What is the status? Has the case been settled? Is this going to encourage other online investors who have unfairly lost money due to misleading advertising and technological failures to sue online brokers? Any comments?
