At present prices Home Depot does seem a bit overvalued. However, one thing I have learned in 25 +/- years of investing is that value, like beauty, is not an absolute but exists only in the eye of the beholder.
Since I didn't buy it at present prices, I have a comfortable profit cushion. Would I buy it at today's prices? Probably not, but institutions will, because they have to keep buying all the time. As long as new money keeps flowing into the a market dominated by giant institutions, large liquid growth companies will command a big premium.
