Welcome TJ, like you I made money on AOL. Almost doubled in 8 weeks. I bought AMZN immediately after split at $120. I am willing to hold on until it goes down to $100, which I think it wont. There will be some gyrations, but in about 3 weeks it will settle and move up steadily. AMZN is very aggressive. They have a very good team of web developers, a good shipping (I was surprised to see the book at my doorstep within 48 hours of my clicking the button on their web site). Am I willing to pay 10% to 15% more for this type of service later (not fighting for parking, gas, driving time etc. etc.). You bet I will and so will others. I have friends that still go and browse at Barnes & Noble, Borders stores and order from AMZN since they are 10 to 20% lower. So they get 20% for going to the parking lots of Barnes and Noble and Borders.
