Michael Verdu,

All the best on your cash deal with GT. I think that was pretty smart given the current stock price... :-)

I saw the article you just referenced in your post and thought the thread might find the humor in it as I did. Hope this does something for the stock - there must be some revenues coming from your new games sometime that will impact the earnings! I guess until numbers come out, it's only speculation on my part, 'cause I bought a bunch of GT and obviously...

GT Interactive Threat Continues

Assimilation Imminent As Company Approaches Earth

GT Interactive has announced the acquisition of developer Legend
Entertainment in a calculated move to take over all game companies in the
known universe. Currently located on the outskirts of the solar system
and rocketing straight towards the planet Earth, GT Interactive declared
that Legend's distinctiveness will be added to their own.

"We are delighted to become a part of the GT family," proclaimed new
drone and former Legend chairman, Michael Verdu, "All hail our new
masters!" While being fitted for his new cybernetic implants, Verdu noted
that "We've been working with GT for the last year on a new generation
of products and this acquisition is a natural extension of that relationship."
Mr. Verdu will soon be renamed "Three of Nine Tertiary Quotient
Assemblage Intelligence Unit" when his current identity is erased.

Upon the order of their new overlord, Legend is currently developing
Unreal II as well as an Unreal Level Pack. Due to the acquisition by GT,
the next Xanth adventure is sure to use the Unreal engine.

Three of Nine,

Re:>>As for what it means personally... well, I always saw the biz side as a distraction from the process of making excellent games. Now I can focus on managing development. This is a good thing.<<

As an investor, this is what I want to hear. This is the leverage of the large - allowing a centralized biz center with satellite development studios doing their artistic best. It all should work if the biz machine doesn't squish the hot-group's fire.
Good luck, and make us money <g>

oh great Three of Nine

I do not think a cash deal is assimilation into the collective. Why did you not take stock? Your choice or their's? Come clean or Unreal will be assimilated by Coca Cola and you know what that means!
