Hi s.,
Happy new year to you.
After making some investigations I understand that Fujitsu itself made a public statement last month that the chipset will be available shortly.
Integration needed when you insert it to the board which is obvious and maybe we have to expect to some kind of official announcement from Fujistu at the end of the month or early next month on the completion and availability of the chipset.
Anyhow expect for commercial shipments starting Q2 99.
As of partnerships nothing new from what we know:
Rockwell/Fujitsu Micro./Harris in R&D.
FNC(the GTE and U.S.) /Fujitsu Ltd.(DT contract) /Lucent (Europe on case by case basis.)
Yes he said "tens thousands lines in a Q". 500k in 99 I think he said U.S. market only.

Regards,

Shlomi.

[ADSL Install guide]

For some reason, older version of install guide is now on website. It is dated August '98 - Issue 1. The one that was posted previously was Issue 2 - September '98. The modem graphics are radically different. Also, the old one only has Orckit emblem without any fujitsu emblem. Part numbers are different, the issue 2 modem RA12 and issue 1 RA11. It looks like difference between plastic casing announced in CC last quarter. Why would Orckit post old manual on website and take new manual off?? Any ideas?? Maybe early customers who got RA11 liked the RA12 in the pictures better. All other documentation appears to be the same from first glance.
