But you are correct in that: an odd lot buy should still fill at the ask, and a and odd lot sell at the bid. Otherwise there would be no way to close an odd lot trade..

But haven't I pointed out the same in my post, basically? Said that:

(or vice-versa you move your odd-lot order price to match the prevailing bid or ask whichever applies).
