Wi-LAN news release: Staff Reduction Wi-LAN Renews Focus On High-Speed Wireless Data Communications Following Restructuring CALGARY, ALBERTA-- Wi-LAN Inc. today announced the completion of a three-month restructuring plan to focus on providing Wireless Local Loop Networks and W-OFDM technology and products to the burgeoning data communications market. The restructuring efforts began in October 1998 with staff reduction and concluded today with the announcement of key staffing changes. Wanda Posehn will handle the marketing portfolio as Acting Vice President, Marketing following Allen Poutanen's resignation as Vice President, Marketing.
