Dave,

I have dedicated ISDN to my employer to the net. I have have cisco 1004 ISDN router to handle all the communications. I can't get cable modems or ADSL where I live. Many of my friends are luckier... If you can get a cable modem you'd be foolish not to try. I take one anyday over ADSL or ISDN.

Sean

And I'll add frame relay to Sean's answer. I have a dedicated frame
relay link to my corporate lan with a bridge to the internet
(which is why you find me lurking here all day <g>).

Very convenient, but performance is only soso and price/performance
sucks, to be polite. ISDN is roughly equivalent in my area.

I'd take a cable connection any time, or DSL.
Neither are viable for me in this area. I hear of others'
setups only through the ears of the green-eyed monster of
envy ...
