I posted that info on 3 other threads to help a little,
and someone was kind enough to point me to the link below
that dispells and quashes the rumor.

It is some garbage that some email chain started

Marshall they have found another way to get in our pockets for being on the net...I noticed that Dec 1 1998 GTE started charging me for each minute I use my line LOCALLY. At the present time it is very minimal...I think it is something like 4/100th of a cent a minute. But they have their toe in the door!!!!!!!!!Jim
