I bought this bad boy at 2 a couple weeks ago. There was a great dealof shares to sell all day, pushing the price down and then bamm, they were all all gone and the price moved up to 5 in a few days.. I don't know what it means . But I saw the same thing on friday.Hoping for a replay. This dude Jerry klein has a financial radio show in LA. and he's predicting the buying on Aam will start inearnest 3rd wqeek of JAN. I guess because of the cap Z. With this situation I imagine any good news will send stock up 30- 50% in a couple days.

I am holding AAM and therefor I would love to see them anywhere close to where you (hope to?) see them.

However I believe the turnaround for this company has to come from the fundamentals and not chart technicals.

The basic problem of AAM lies in their decreasing profitability due to two facts:

- decreasing interest rates in the financial markets and

- too high of personal cost.

The stock will raise subastantially as soon as one of these two factors will change in favor of AAM.

- Interest rates are IMO more likely going up in the short future.
(Alan Greenspan has no reason to do the opposite right now).

- Key will be, if the management will be able to improve the cost situation. Here I believe that the future board members of "Capital Z" will have a major impact. We might even see some changes in senior management... (my own pure speculation!)

To sum it up: Short term I personally see more on the upside for AAM than on the downside. However, to come up with figures like $ 30.00/share seems to be a little bit overoptimistic to me.
IMO we could, under the above assumptions, very well see a price of $ 14.00 again, as we had last time in summer 1998.
