don't sweat it. we are just getting started.
timing is difficult. Hell, BB was off by 2 yrs on utek!
You think you can time to weeks or months?
Consider yourself as a "sector fund" and then I think BB, and more importantly for me, myself, think that 10 or 12% is fine in a sector fund.

IF you want these stocks for 2001 or 2002, then keep them for now as a hold. Clearly getting out of some of AMAT now looks smart, but .... when to get back in? What if it doesn't dip? What if the internuts decide these stocks that triple in a few months are a good place for their Amazon and broadcast dot com dollars?

of course, i could be wrong!

marc,

You may want to wait to make the call on selling. INTC reports this Tuesday and has already as much as said they'll beat consensus numbers by a wide margin. They have also come out in the past month and said that they are capacity constrained for certain chips at the moment. Whether or not this will translate into higher capex for '99 will be discovered Tuesday. It's all in the call:-))
