Zeev,

Yes,

According to the Wall Street Journal story last year, there were about 2M people in NA estimated to currently have the condition. The last number I saw on new cases was 223,000 per annum. So Julia's 200,000 is an acceptable "rounding".

Given that the alternative to this treatment is to go blind, anything which delays that process will be very welcome. As my mother has been blinded by the condition, on a personal level, I'm happy to know that there'll be something there should my turn come.

Best regards,
Ian.
