Portal sites -- develop(or make a deal) a portal just like MSN, LYCOS --or something like a high tech supermarket. This is one company that can have an internet access service or portal that will grow very fast. Dell is very well liked(or loved) and will get a lot of subscribers at a very fast rate (faster than anyone else could)
A high PE could be justifiable even more, though they are in a competitive PC industry. Personally, I think the move by Compaq (and others)is not going to make a dent in their business but investors' fear of this happening may cause selling.
I just hope Dell does not cut their prices too much. Maybe they should continue to offer more flexibility in purchases. A few months ago, you could not buy a PC without a monitor (in Canada at least). You had to also buy MSFT Office or Home Essentials. (It hurts me just thinking about this - that MS Office might not be shipped with each PC)

I have to admit that I have not really analysed this thoroughly. I am just going with my gut feelings about this company (one of my favorites).
