Anyone buying Puts out there? Any Put strategies?

I have just been trying to come up with a Put strategy for both Yahoo! and Amazon and would appreciate any input:

Yahoo! Puts:

Feb 250s @ 5
Apr 260s @ 13
Jul 280s @ 20

The idea is to watch the stock run-up Monday & Tuesday before earnings,
pay for more time with the puts, but, speculate on the downdraft after earnings are announced with the February position. Right now to even buy the contracts at these prices, the stock would have to run up to about $550/share, which may happen. Otherwise, on a clear downdraft, just buy the contracts at the market.

Likewise on Amazon:

Feb 93-3/8 @ 2.5
Apr 80 @ 4.5
Jul 65 @ 3

Obviously, these are all way out-of-the-money, but I would suspect they will be way-in-the-money sometime soon.

Just hopeful another options player could add their two cents.

Thanks in advance, Keith Walker

Dave, when the end finally does come (whenever that may be), where do you think all the money is going to go?

IMHO, I bet it goes right back into overvalued high PE large cap stocks like DELL, MSFT CSCO, LU, etc... The MM's used to warn me that overvalued stocks were the first to get nailed in a correction. But in October that did not happen, they were the last to get nailed and the first to return to glory (from what I remember).

I think that when the end comes, it's either going to tank the market like in October, or the overvalued large cap stocks are going to catch all that internet money. I only own overvalued/high PE tech stocks. I will say my other stocks are not as overvalued as my YHOO and AOL but that's because the Net stocks re-defined overvalued.

So where do you think the money will go?

<<<I'm admitting I just don't know when>>

In your previous post you indicated you didn't know "if". This post indicates "when". If you're not sure about "if" and "when" - I would say it is pretty indecisive - right ?

Afford is a relative term. I don't WANT to, is more appropriate. Whats wrong with selling high and buying low on each rally ? You see I don't **have** any investment in YHOO. I'm playing with the profits only. So I don't see a problem ?

Besides, I don't think its important to discuss my personal style of investing. What difference would it make ?
