Sorry Petz, but the wafer cost does include depreciation, and BTW $2000 is way too high... unless you meant AMD.

As Ali would say ... John, you are full of "craps". An 200mm (8") wafer
doesn't cost $500 ... In fact the cost is closer to $150 for 200mm EPI
prime wafers. As I said John, the typical wafer cost for .25um is about
$2000/wafer and this includes depreciation of process equipment. Depreciation
for Land&Building (typically on longer depreciation schedules ... 10 yrs)
are not included.
