had a news alert on one of my electronic clippers..this the reference...on this day in music history...

In 1889, the Columbia Phonograph Company, the forerunner of C-B-S, was formed in Washington, D-C. A territorial franchise of the North American Phonograph Company, Columbia covered Maryland, Delaware and the District of Columbia. At this time the phonograph was envisaged as primarily as a business device, a sort of mechanical stenographer. Commercial recording of music did not begin until 1890.

In 1959, Buddy Holly made his last recordings in his New York apartment. Among the tunes were ''Peggy Sue Got Married'' and ''Learning the Game.'' Holly used the same Ampex tape recorder on which he had recorded such hits as ''That'll Be the Day'' and ''Peggy Sue.'' Holly died in a plane crash a month later.

Without going back through the entire thread. Is the low PE of AXC for real. I know they used to generate most of their income with patent infringement suits and have started to try to get back to being a real company again. I would have expected to see more volume to get it to move as much as it has. I'm tempted to buy here - but I sure do hate to chase a stock.
