Position trading
The tough thing about having established
positions in a particular sector, is waiting for
your sector to light up. Maybe patience is the
most important skill of all.

Sure I watched Dell and MSFT and AOL continue to
soar the past few years...and I've seen the i-nuts
on the news nearly every night. And I feel a little
silly for never having got any money out of them,
but I figure there are plenty of ways to play.

Why, for example, I have a mutual fund account
with which I make only a couple trades a year,
mining sector...then cash for months...then energy
...then cash again. what I want from that money is
20% a year...for 20 years--I figure I can be in
cash most of the year and still pull that off (two
for two so far, will let you know in 18 years how
it all worked out!).

That's all I have to say tonight about holding
positions. Will let you all know if I change my
mind about not having chased the internets, I am
awfully tempted to get a few February amzn puts.
But I've been tempted repeatedly over the last year
on those, and the best trade of all was never buying any.

TJ:Thanks.TA has been useless on these net stocks. There is NO BASIS for some of these net stocks to go up other than from a herd psychological standpoint. We have a frenzy in the market now. You have to be quick on your picks. You seem to have the mental and emotional ability to play this game. Continued good luck.
