Wow, Glenn, think you took my HBI post the
wrong way from your reply to dawg! Just got back to
reading the entire thread for the weekend. But funny
post anyway. Hehe

Okay, so it was late at night and I tried to push off
some of the DD work onto dawg, and I think you took
it as a "pump" and not as real info offered to the
thread seeking advise. So, if you would, please take
a minute and offer your opinion. Basically I see this stock as a "watch" and something to monitor, with DD done in advance so
if (repeat *if*) it moves we'll be ready, the advantage
of this stock being it is "undervalued" i.e. below book
at the moment and trading near the 52 week low. Meaning, I've followed this for 6 months, and it has been rumored off-and-on for takeover, nothing ever official and the company won't comment on takeovers. I've not believed the takeover rumors then or now, but do feel the company balance sheet makes it a takeover target. That of course does not mean it will happen. Also I see little downside risk to jumping
in at opportune times for short holds to see which way it turns.

I do have a small (read 1k shares) position since first week in Jan after the price and volume spike on Dec. 31 am holding and evaluating.

Homebase, Inc, not a penny stock, traded NYSE, symbol: HBI

If you are not on the west coast this may be a new one, but otherwise
not. Here's the yahoo link to business summary,

biz.yahoo.com

and current quote,

quote.yahoo.com

showing the company has $2.57 cash on hand for a ~$6 dollar
stock with a book of ~$10. Why high book, well kind of different
situation since the company has a lot of inventory that actually
has real value.

Note the jump in volume end of 98 and slow increase in average
volume supporting the MACD histogram and fastline breaking 0
trending up, the stochastics have turned: tough to call at this
point IMO, but then little downside risk. From the charts it
looks to me as next week will be decisive, opinions???

Okay, this one's probably not going to really move without
a takeover, and I'm not going to spread those rumors, but here's
links both ways from the yahoo board (personally I think neither
knows what they are talking about)

no takeover,
post.messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com

yes takeover,
post.messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com

What would really help is if someone could look at time and
sales to see who has been accumulating since Dec. 31, and if this
is different than before then? And, an up to the day pointer to
inside trading, if one exists?

I could be wasting the threads bandwidth on this one, true. (But
it's been late night bandwidth at that.) Still it looks to me like the next week will be decisive, and would like people to have time to react knowing what they are getting into, if it turns, that's all.
Would appreciate opinions, help with time and sales, and insider
selling info, but if this is not of interest, will just play
via my own DD going forward. Will try to find something better
for the thread. TIA for any help.

Position trades holding into this week,

aapl
pwav
athm
ompt
tmcs
pair
out xyln last week at 21.5, looking to re-enter, may be
tough tomorrow with the lu/asnd news. Won't chase unless breaks
23.
