I have come to believe that grading people is wrong. We should abolish all grades in school. Grading destroys children's joy in learning. The difficulty is in how you replace it.

>>>>Saw things. Deep things. It scared me. You're not supposed to learn the meaning of life in the checkout line of a Safeway.<<<<

There are POWERFUL rhythms there. They are like points, or vortexes, or confluences. And the information, the understanding, is powerful. It comes through, whether one is Prepared or Capable or not.

It's like rafting a sacred or magnetic river. You will be squeezed there. A doorway. One of the Doors of Perception. The desire is that these Doors be pleasant. But.....

I feel Death in grocery lines; in many lines. Like one is flirting with death; approaching death. The cultural artifacts forming the compression rings, like Diana and Elton and Gum and products and people, don't help. They may make you want to die.

And then you must give up something to escape. Money is the superfice. And you take a burden with you.

It is something you wanted, something you "needed;" but not at that price.
