I think that if you can focus on something else, do something, it doesn't matter what it is. I used to be able to read like that. Or even think. That gradually deteriorated over the last thrity years. I could focus on those things and tune the rest out. Now I find I can't. Just flat out can't.

I don't know why, but I have suspicions.

Probably wrong ones.

So I try to control by staying away. I used the example of grocery lines to tell one of my DR's, and he said, "Oooh. I can't do that either." Big help.

You've just made me and Gaugie feel normal. That's quite a trick. I remembered after I wrote that that you'd been in school, hence the cards. They really are a good way to keep track of things. But, yes, you are weird. Somehow it makes me feel closer to you. Be scared. :)
