Sonki, >>>i m paid to worry so now i have got y2k to worry about.
i was thinking of spreading my accounts between several brokerages
just incase one of them screw up. does anyone else think it's needed?<<<

Hopefully the major brokerages will go through some dry runs like, I think, the NYSE did. In other words, simulate that it's now 2000 and run all possible types of trades, etc. at several "customers" accounts. Still, you can never simulate exactly, as you know, even with computers. I hadn't thought of it but my first feeling is that I will trust Schwab. Of course, I'm a piker compared to you. ;-)

How 'bout that In(ternet)tel! Lehman's calling the split.

Tony

Sonki. Pl. read my post to Frank.

LU. I hope they will split but LU bought a company today with stock and is rumored to buy Asnd by Wednesday? I am not worried about LU though. The company said that todays purchase will go to the bottom line. Now Asnd is a bit more expensive but will still be good for LU.
