Hi,

I spoke to Sim during the AGM.

Creaf coporate vision is that the company will be focusing on PC related entertainment. The definition is quite nebulous as the traditional consumer electronics starts to converge with PC related technology. Creaf is I believe will be position to tap into that convergent.

As regard to 3Dfx merger with STB: His thoughts was that it will be incredible for a chip company to manage a board company as there are many issues to pursue like inventories, resellors etc.

OEM deal: Creaf has not been pursuing OEM strategy aggressively as it generally generate less profit. He said that Creaf revenue can be easily boosted up by just selling lots of CDROM drives. The company instead chooses not to do so in spite of strong market demands. They are selling a lot of DVD now and the demand is exceeding supply. DVD will be good for Creaf but the profits will come from the peripherals bundled with DVD drives instead.

As for other OEM pursuit, the company is focusing on OEM deals without eroding much margins. Their strategy is to enable boxmaker's customer a range of higher margin Creaf options. This he said will appeal to boxmaker as it helps them to raise their average selling price as PC is now a commodity item. This OEM strategy is I think much more desirable instead of pursuing the likes of ATI which sell cheap and make tiny profits. I will not like Creaf to be at the mercy of boxmaker and be relegated as an OEM supplier.

Now in the PC board market, which company has been consistently generating profits quarter afer quarter-----Creaf.

Diamond, 3Dfx, STB, or whatever: they have good brand names but they don't make profits.

Regards
Derrick

Yes it did do well but that was then... is it JUST going to do the same? Thats my point NO GROWTH. We make now what we made with the AWE.

Moved to asia for cost was smart but to also lower price was just nuts... how about make a product better and charge the same or just a little less. Not to kill the price 4point speakers for sub $100 is just nuts how about $100+ for the same thing droping the price slowly to sub $100? CREAF has no idea how to price things... 200 for the SBL and 15 days later have the SBL value out for sub 100? I'm sure MANY people returned the SBL for the SBL value ASAP. Also CREAF didn't think to make 4point speakers??? HELLO CREAF your makeing a card for this speaker set didn't it think people would like to use the 4 speakers the card can run??? STUPID CREAF

Indirect YES. I like the idea but what would be better is some more then just leting to chance... (IE. Love my new CREAF dvd sounds perfect on my new mx300). How about a stronger push for thinks that work together... GIVE me a resone why a CREAF DVD and A CREAF SBL work better. CREAF is a NO SHOW in this area.

VIDEO is risk times 1000%. Its a what have you done for me game and the best chip is the best all others die. Not a game CREAF should pin its hopes on. If it can gain some OEMs id say go for it but CREAF is like watching a car with 1 wheel try and move in this area... Its a joke.

Sound is HOT and CREAF should have very good sells but holding this company for over a year is VERY HIGH RISK at this point. I'll bring up the issue of the (don't hate me) $400 computer again. I for the 1st time would buy a computer like this and to my suprize found it to be fast for all things but high end games. If this computer can make me happy I'd bet it will with most people as well and at $400 what do I care about upgradeing? IE. No upgrade no profit for CREAF and if I do how much will you put into a computer thats that cheap? My point is again CREAF might sell MORE cards but at a lower price = no growth. Point #2 is what will CREAF do after the SBL for sound??? Add speakers for the ??? add 3D sound that does??? make a 8-16 speaker setup??? Point is that this is the end of the line for sound cards... as is what we had with modems 56K is it and I can pick up one for nothing just about, if not for Broadband id bet 56k software modems would rule or be inside the chip set but whats the point its DOA. Point#3 other stocks that rock... after getting out of creaf the money has been in ATHM & EGRP... need I say more.

I just really would like all us that were in CREAF for soooo long to do well and I see now the only way to do well in CREAF is to get OUT of it forever. We are holing on for $20 as if its the BEST CREAF can do... and i'm sad to say it is. Why hold a stock that has a CAP of 20??? Its not easy to get CREAF to see 17 why hold it a let your money rot away like it did ALL LAST YEAR?
