Honestly, what can the SEC do? Could they have stopped the 49er's from looking for gold.
If you read history (yes, I know. William hates history) it will tell you that to many miners showed up, than there was gold.
Do you know who made the most money then? It was the merchant's that sold the miners supplies. Does that remind you of the institutions?
I don't know if there was a SEC then, but if there was, they couldn't have stopped them, until most of them Lost their shirts.
I'm betting my whole risk fund on this volatility. I hope I can't lose.
