Good morning, Mark and all,
Am finally settled in my new home, and have Web access. Nice to return to higher prices and new buy recommendations:
<<Quantum Corp. (QNTM) 25 5/8 +5/8: Gruntal & Co. upgrades disk drive maker from "hold" to
"strong buy" with a 12-month price target of $45; seeing strong demand in the industry and expects it
to continue through the current quarter; expects company to continue to generate growth in cartridge
licenses, while transitioning the hardware to super DLT platform.....>>

Can't possibly catch up on all that I have missed over the past month, but congratulations again, Z, for your great HTCH call. I never did join you, but it was not only a great call, it took a good deal of courage and stamina to stick it out when it went against you into the low teens for awhile. I have pulled out of the drive bizz entirely except for SEG and QNTM, have gone into ECMs (JBL, FLEX, SCI), and in and out of some semi equipment stocks (TER, DPMI and ASYT, sold them all too soon, but still did too well in each).

Hope everyone had a fine holiday. The first week back was certainly a dinger. This market is bizarre. Personally, I have never seen so many stocks double or triple in such a short period of time (that is in about 17 or 18 years of watching the market), making many of us undeservedly look like geniuses. Does anyone else get apprehensive looking at this? I am now sitting on more cash relative to equity than I ever have.

Best wishes,
Sam
