ZP and All,

My online order experience has been similar to Sean's. I order not just several $K each year in computer stuff, but virtually all my books (quite a sum given my Ph.D research), consumer electronics, and many other purchases on line. Only one or two times have I had a problem in 4 years of this, and the one time that stands out was a bankrupcy where my CC was refunded twice and I couldn't clear it up--so I ended up $900 ahead!

CC fraud doesn't concern me at all either. Think how often you give your card to a waiter or over the phone--would be extremely easy for a service person to swipe it. A secure server, OTOH (and most all of them are secure now), would truly be a pain to infiltrate. Plus, even if it did happen, most CC companies will intervene and handle it for you anyway.

I know I save a fortune, too. For non computer purchases, I highly recommend CUC's www.netmarket.com . For $49 a year, I get a membership that gives me excellent prices, a lowest price gaurentee (that they actually honor), no questions asked 30 day return policy, 2 year minimum warranty on everything, and 5% credit towards future purchased on each purchase.

Be interested to more about others' positive on-line experiences, even if it's a little OT.

Regards,

Dave
