Actually, you're wrong for much of the world. The Teledesic network will be very high bandwidth and low latency. It will be most effective, though, in areas without high population density, since, even though capacity will be enormous, bandwidth will be shared. Teledesic will offer fantastic potential to rural areas that now are missing out because fiber is so expensive to bring to remote communities. But, none of this will happen until 2003.
