I have one over clocked at 450 now and then. Has never had a problem with the programs I pace it with and the store I bought the components from overclock them as well (epo in houston) I haven't kept it overclocked long yet as it is warmer than I like and just wanted to "test drive" untill I can get a better cooling solution than the sink that comes with it. But no problems with it.
Can you do something to overclock the PII 450's?

Lots.
For every poster here, there are probably 20 lurkers. Many of the posters have OC'd celerons...

My OEM 300a has been working non-stop at 450 MHz since Dec. 23 running a distributed.net RC5 client (100% CPU utilization - this is a better test for thermal stability than quake). I had to bump up the voltage to 2.2V to get perfect stability. There are no thermal problems even at 2.3V; the ABit mobo reports 27C.

about how many people on the thread do you think have operating overclocked celerons?

From memory..seasoned computer users and thread leaders

Dirk Hente was the first solid overclocking supporter
#reply-3471403 and the first Celeron overclocker #reply-5100560

In addition many of the thread leaders joined in with the Celeron 300A overclocking opportunity... Dave.. Sean.. Dan.. Clarence.. Spots is leaning in that direction..and others who did I forget?
