Agreed. Strong company...great branding and marketing power. I've owned it in the past...will re-enter on any correction.

Most dealers have their bikes sold before they even arrive. Waiting lists are common. Increasing production (slowly and carefully) will help meet the heavy demand. Europe and Asia are still largely untapped. Newsgroups are full of buyers bragging that they "only" paid MSRP for their new bikes with minimal waits. What other motor company has customers "bragging" that they paid MSRP and "only" waited two or three months for delivery? What a brand!

I also ride a '99 Road King...and it's amazing how wide the HD appeal reaches. Age doesn't matter...kids think you're "cool", middle agers envy you, and the oldsters smile real big and want to tell you about the Harley they had 40 years ago.

Maybe they need to sell Harleys on the internet, that should do the trick.
