Mr. Lunabeam: Since I traded this stock daily from '94 through the end of '97, I can assure you that two minutes is most unusual. But quite frankly, there is a good reason for him to wait, and that is because LSI's opening price is really dictated by top tier semi stocks such as Motorola, Micron, and to the a lesser extent, the NASDAQ semis. It would be foolish for LSI to lead the semis in opening. If the specialist did so repeatedly, he would get his (and by proxy) the buyer's head handed to him. On the other hand, it is maddening to see MOT (for example) open go through an entire up and down cycle of price swings and still not see LSI open.
