if lu were to come out and say we are not in talks with asnd you would IMO see a large drop..(short term only)...it's unclear to what the price would be for a buyout but after seeing large shares going by at the bid makes me feel a bit uneasy

There was a lot of uncertainty in both camps when the Bay deal happened, but since Bay's management team took over the "reigns" of Nortel, and not vice versa, the street finally recognized the value of the merger. I don't think that will be the case with LU. IMO.... >

ALSO - Shortly after the NT/Bay deal was closed, The CEO of NT stated, "We would have liked to buy Ascend, but it wasn't for sale."
