Ira: "Probably will depress price for a short time." I don't think so -

Dollar amount of deal is too small.

Somebody already knew about he deal and the stock price has been going up

.com - Need I say more?

I think it will be immediately accretive to earnings.

Ira,

Probably not enough $ involved in the buy-out to really depress the price ... in fact, it will probably escalate CPQ's price nicely as soon as the +++ impact of CPQ/SOPPING.COM is realized.

A MAJOR kick UP for CPQ would be something they announce or do or highlight in their earnings relative to SERVICES. Services is a hugely leverageable and hot asset ... any rise here will have geometric effects !
