From looking at Ben A's Max Pain figures, there are going to be a lot of people having their Dell stock called at the end of the week. My eyeballing of the option figures indicate that a price of $80 - $82 is expected friday. It seems that the closer Dell gets to $80 the smaller the volume. Starting Monday there's nothing to hold Dell back.

CTC,

Your post: "When you ask people why they invest in this stock they all say some variant of "because it will go up".

If they are playing for it to go up and it does, then they are right.

If however, it goes up and they were playing short then you are right and they, as you put (oops did I say "put"?)it, are indeed "lunatics"!
