Tom,

You and I must watch different CNBC feeds. In September and early October, when Abby was pounding the table on stocks, everyone on CNBC was publicly snickering, and at the same time paying homage to Ralph "Ah-can-make-ya-poorer" at Pru. Everyday when Abby had a positive comment on equities, they were laughing at her, and inferring that her bullish stance was somehow tied into Goldman's desire to come public.

1600 points later, Abby is right, Merrill is wrong and so was Ralph. Her "flawed reasoning"??? How is it flawed? She made the right call, especially impressive when you consider everyone else was making the wrong call. If that is flawed reasoning, then I wish I could get some more of that flawed reasoning into my portfolio. She refused to cave into the bearishness with the rest of the "me too" penguins, and for that she deserves a tip of the cap.
