I've got BA also, some bought in the 40's, some in the 30's. Plan on keeping it as a 'sleep well' stock. Also thinking about lightening up on some tech and putting some into oil service. I'm not too greedy, and try my best to avoid the inevitable tech blowups. The one time I violated that rule was late last year with CPQ, I held instead of selling, but the thinking was that the company was a power and would come back. Fortunately, my thinking was correct, so far...

PS - Do you remember when the gambling stocks went nuts a long, long time ago??? All I can remember is buy Bally, buy Bally!!!

Invest in Yahoo

Buy 10 shares (in a taxable account) -- watch it go up, drag your stake, play with winnings and say how smart you are, watch it crash and say how prudent you are. I did a six-bagger (or close) in a bombed out IRA with AMZN in a few weeks (I think, but who has time to count these days). My wife thinks I'm a genius -- her other IRA's all in CSCO for three years. Makes up for a lot of IDTI, and blunders around the boudoir.
