George Tromp made an excellent and early post with respect to estimating grade at Snap Lake and BEFORE the valuation were announced. I don't have the post number handy, but it would also provide valuable insight for you. I,ll take the bait...post#6109 might help.Speaking of Bellsbank and white diamonds RXD.. Thanks Teevee and I agree, DeBeers certainly would like to keep control on the "big" diamond market and for this reason, I'm sure they are following with interest WSP. Was there not some "controversial" deal made between DeBeers and the Russians during the "cold war" over their production because DeBeers simply had to have control over the quality and size of their diamonds. Maybe that's what Kaiser meant when referring to Russian diamonds, but I doubt it. But more importantly, I was hoping to get some statistical info on diamond distribution for rich diamond mines. But I guess with DeBeers controlling that market, the info is not available and yes, I'm sure they would like to know what WSP's distribution is. Hence perhaps WSP's reluctance to release this information as it's only good to DeBeers and no one else, seeing as there is no public information to compare it to. Your "overall" stats support the assumption that very few diamonds make up the overall value. I was hoping to have specifics that would prove that there are some rich producers out there which survive simply because of the few "big stones" they pull out every now and then.
