>Yongzhi, is China behind on the Y2K fix?

Not really. I remember reading last year that a Chinese company came up with a Y2k solution. There are still government agencies and big companies (mostly government owned) looking for Y2k solutions now. But I think it's the same situation in US. US government has to threat its agencies (by withholding funding) to get them move ahead to fix Y2k problems.

According to Business Week, approx. 98% of China's software is pirated, including Government software. This creates at least two major problems:
1) They can't turn to original manufacturer for Y2K solutions
( at least without great embarrassment and loss of face)

2) No legal recourse.

If GTCI can help at all, they're golden.

BTW, China is at the bottom of the list for Y2K preparedness.
